2010 Snow Blizzard
This was the worst and coldest winter we have had in many years. So as you all know last week was a horrible blizzard and we were off of school all week. So instead of sitting home by myself all week and do nothing, my best friends Mia, Tania, and Tina. We had so much fun all week. So I am going to explain some of the stuff we did and why it was so much fun.
Well Tuesday morning around 7:00 am Mia came over. Tania and Tina were already there. But after like four hours of being quiet because my family was sleeping we all got up and made breakfast. I made Mia a sand witch. We watched movies and played on the computer and talked with each other. They all stayed the night again. But on Wednesday Tania and Tina went home for a while. Later Tina came back and Me Mia and Tina all hung out. But around nine Tina talked on the phone for the rest of the night. Mia and I watched the hang over with my brother and we ate food.
Then Thursday morning Tina said she had to watch her sister so she went home. Then later that day me and Mia went to Tania’s house and stayed the night. When we went to Tania’s house we played the wii and watched obsessed. Then we all talked on the phone with all our friends in-till we all got tired and went to bed. In the morning Tania wanted to make us breakfast so she made bacon and pancakes. But when she made it she burnt most of the bacon and made really good pancakes. Then Tania had dance so me and Mia went back to my house and Mia’s mom came and got her. She finally went home but I didn’t want her to.
Then after Mia went home Christina came over and we cleaned up my room. Then we played this weird game that my brother wanted us to play. But we were having people over for the race and we all paid four dollars to pick race car drivers to see who wins. And who ever had the winning person won all the money from everyone. Then me and Christina went to the movie and saw Blind Side. It was a really good movie about a foot ball player on the Baltimore Ravens. I stayed at Christina’s house that night and we hung out all Sunday and Monday together. Now me and Christina are like best friends.
So that is pretty much all I did over a big blizzard break that we had. You can see that I had some crazy times with my friends and you can see how I always have to be with my friends cause I don’t like to be all own my mine with out my friends. But, I did have a lot of fun and I miss having all that time off and I wish we could have it again.

The Washington D.C trip was so much fun. I got to hang out with all my friends. We had the best group ever. It was me, Keesha, Tina, Ariel, Josh, Jawon, Xeavier, Raykwon, Miguel, Amanda and Charles. We saw the holacost museum. But we got kicked out for palying hide and seek. But what we saw was really cool. Then we walked to the Washington Monument. I finally got to touch it. We all took pictures around it. And all the guys were trying to get girls numbers. Then we walked to the world war II memorial and took a picture in front of the fountains and the delaware post. Then we all walked to the Linclon memorial and took pictures of that. It was really cool. Then we walked back to the world war II memorial and waited for the buses. Then we went to the uinon station and ate lunch and shopped. I had a cheesesteak.
The D.C trip was alot of fun and i hope i get to go again.

I just want to start out saying thank you to all the teachers and staff at Mariner that have been so kind to me all threw middle school. You guys are great teachers and really do you job right so thank you for being great teachers and staff members.
Everyone at this school has helped me do something. But the most important thing they helped me do was help me get my math grade up and helped me pass all this year. I have finally gotten my math grade up high enough to pass this year and move on to high school. Mrs. Husbands had been a great help with my math grade. She really did as much as she could to help me keep it up.
She even did the nice thing in moving me to the front of the class so I wouldn’t get distracted by all my friends. I had many things to help me keep my math grade up. The teachers here really are doing a amazing job on preparing me for high school. I really feel ready for high school. I am ready to have new accomplishments and goals for high school.
I may be leaving middle school, and I will really miss it. I am excited for my freshmen year in high school and to see what I have in store for me next year. So right now we all need to realize that high school is a more mature place and the work is a lot harder, so there for after our last day in mariner we need to be prepared for what is coming next year.
Some of us are leaving each other to be going to different schools and some will be staying together. But we all need to remember all the things we have went through and all the things we have accomplished and don’t ever forget the three amazing years most of us have had here at Mariner Middle school.

The Pig Man
Paul Zindel
The story of the Pig Man is about two young kids and an older man. His name is the Pig Man. John and Lorraine are the two young kids. They have a game with their other friends about who can keep a stranger on the phone with a prank call the longest. When john randomly picked the Pig Man out of the phone book. Then he called him and asked him if he would like to donate to a charity. The Pig Man said yes. So a couple days later they went to the Pig Man’s house to collect the money cause they are actually going to take the money. So, when they got there they made up fake names and played it off. They all became friends. He invited them to the zoo and there he showed them BoBo the baboon. Then they all hung out as friends. John and Lorraine found out the Pig Man’s wife is really dead and not on vacation like he said. And one day they were roller skating around his house and the Pig Man had a heart attack and was in the hospital for a couple days. Then john and Lorraine kissed when making dinner for the pig man. Then at the end the Pig Man dies and the baboon is sick.
This was a very good book. It kept me interested in it. I recommend this book to a lot of people cause it is really a good book. And you won’t get lost in it. It has its good parts and only a few bad parts in it. It kind of is a mystery but more like a family romantic thing to.
Setting- winter, the Pig Man’s house, the zoo, the school, john’s house, Lorraine’s house.
Theme- romantic, family, mystery
